The blue orb anomaly is first seen during “Chase” and can knock Artyom and his companions out. It can also kill a horde of nosalises by using electricity to shock them.
It is important to keep an eye out for this anomaly throughout the game, because it can be deadly if you are not prepared for it. It can be very easy to miss, so you should take your time and make sure you are positioned correctly.
Anomalies can appear anywhere in the Zone, but there are certain places that are more susceptible to them. For example, the abandoned train tunnels from the “Khan” level are home to an anomaly that floats in, searching for something.
Once you’re close to it, you can shoot it down with a flamethrower, but this is not recommended. It can be incredibly dangerous and it has the potential to blow you up, so take your time and be careful.
