What Happened to Ashley Mclean?
Philadelphia authorities are actively seeking the driver responsible for a fatal hit-and-run incident that tragically claimed the life of a 27-year-old woman in the Eastwick neighborhood.
Responding to a 911 call shortly before 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, police arrived at the junction of South 84th Street and Lindbergh Boulevard. The victim, identified as Ashley McLean-Gaylor, 27, hailing from Glenolden, Pennsylvania, had been struck by a vehicle and succumbed to her injuries at 2:37 a.m., as confirmed by police.
Initial investigations reveal that McLean-Gaylor had disembarked from a vehicle and stepped into oncoming traffic. Tragically, she was hit by another vehicle, which initially halted but subsequently fled the scene.
Authorities suspect that the vehicle responsible for the collision might be a 2023 Honda Accord, bearing a New York license plate.
Ashley McLean-Gaylor is survived by her two daughters, fiancé, and her mother, a dedicated officer with the Folcroft Borough Police for many years.
In an effort to apprehend the responsible individual, the Delaware County Fraternal Order of Police has announced a reward of $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.

Ashley is survived by her two young daughters Aubrie and Charlotte, fiancé Brandon, her mother Leslie and her Ed, sister Amber, grandparents Debbie and Lou Defosse, Father Steve McLean, Step Mother Kelly, sister and brother Jenna and Matthew McLean.
Ashley’s mother, Leslie is a long time Folcroft Borough Police Officer and member of Delaware County Lodge 27. No one is prepared to say good bye to their child who was full of life.
