One of the most popular female politicos in LDS circles, Young Women General President Bonnie Cordon has garnered much acclaim. She has a ton of experience to draw from as a full-time missionary, stake and ward leader and entrepreneur in the making.

She is also a pillar of the church and a devout member of the temple where she serves as a branch missionary for her home area.

In an interview with In Touch, Cordon says she is proud of the many opportunities she has had to serve her Lord. From the moment she got her call as a missionary in the Brazil Curitiba mission, she knew that she had chosen the right path to follow and she has been a dedicated member ever since.

A little later in her life, she met a 14-year-old girl named Tonya while traveling in India who would have a major impact on her life. The young woman would go on to become a member of the Church and a branch pianist.

Now that bonnie has been elected to the big chair, she's refocused her attention on the church, launching her own blog and taking part in some of the perks of the presidency. She has also started a new social media campaign called "Young Women to the stars" aimed at promoting the missionaries of the future. The best part about the campaign is that it's free to join and anyone who signs up will be rewarded with a free copy of the LDS magazine Young Women.
