Breaking News: Laconia Car Accident Leaves Multiple Injured Serious Car Accident in Laconia: Injuries Reported
Laconia Car Accident- Several customers and staff members of a restaurant in Laconia were injured on Sunday afternoon when a vehicle crashed into the building. The incident occurred at the Looney Bin Bar and Grill on Endicott Street North, as confirmed by Laconia Police Chief Matt Canfield.
Authorities are currently investigating the collision involving a car and the establishment in Laconia, New Hampshire. Multiple individuals were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the police. Fortunately, the building remains stable, and the road will soon reopen.
Approximately thirteen people were sent to nearby hospitals, as reported by Captain Chad Vallicancout of the Laconia Fire Department. Additionally, around twelve injured individuals did not require hospitalization and were treated on-site. Vallicancourt also mentioned that three people may have sustained serious injuries.
A witness at the scene described the initial confusion surrounding the incident. The pub was crowded at the time, resulting in a significant number of people with minor injuries, often referred to as “walking wounded.” Canfield was informed of a complaint involving a vehicle leaving Fun Spot and heading in the wrong direction as it exited the parking lot. Unfortunately, the driver did not notice an approaching third vehicle, leading to a collision that propelled the third vehicle into the restaurant while causing the first vehicle to enter as well.
Another vehicle was present in the center lane, but the driver leaving Fun Spot failed to see the approaching third vehicle. This lack of awareness resulted in the accident. Canfield reassured that the building remains accessible without risk, and normal access to the road will be restored shortly.
