Charli and Dixie Damelio Missing Over a Million Followers
In just a few short years, TikTok sisters Charli and Dixie have gone from relatively unknown high school students to major social media celebrities with a wide following. They’ve even scored a Hulu docuseries about their rise to fame. But lately, the sisters have been taking a lot of heat for their behavior. In one particular video, the two are seen acting a bit bratty toward their personal chef. But it’s not just that video that has the internet up in arms — the pair have lost more than a million followers as a result of their recent actions.
In a recent YouTube video, the D’Amelios are joined by YouTuber James Charles for dinner. But the evening soon turns sour when both Charli and Dixie act quite rudely to their chef, Aaron May. They also seem to be pretty rude to their parents, Marc and Heidi, who are trying to have a normal conversation with them.
The whole thing seemed very off-putting to many viewers, and the Internet has taken to Twitter to voice their opinions on the D’Amelio sisters. Charli herself appeared to get particularly upset by the backlash, as she did a live video on Instagram where she claimed to have lost over a million followers. In the clip, she also mentions that she has been sick and has PMDD.
PMDD is a condition that affects a woman’s mood and can be extremely debilitating if left untreated. It can cause a variety of symptoms, including mood swings, trouble sleeping, fatigue, anxiety, depression, nausea and stomach pain. Typically, it occurs about a week before a woman’s period and can be treated with lifestyle changes or medicine.
Many of the online critics have accused Dixie of being privileged for not going to college. They have argued that the 19-year-old doesn’t have to go because she has millions of dollars in savings and has the ability to make her own decisions. However, others have come to her defense, arguing that she has a right to decide not to attend college and should be allowed to make her own choices.
Another controversy to surface involving the D’Amelio sisters is their dating life. Earlier this month, Noah Beck shut down dating rumors with Dixie by posting a statement on his social media. Beck said he had work obligations that kept him from attending Dixie’s 21st birthday celebration in Las Vegas.
It’s been almost a year since Dixie and Noah first sparked romance rumors when they were spotted kissing on a beach in September 2020. Throughout the months, the duo fueled romance rumors by making appearances together and cozied up for selfies.
