David Hahn Cause of Death
A 65-year-old Homer resident died on Sunday after suffering a medical issue and crashing into a ditch. The incident was reported to Alaska Wildlife Troopers based in Anchor Point.
David Hahn was a Stanford football fan who donned the school’s signature jacket and baseball cap. He was a fixture at the stadium, frequently sticking around after games to give out high-fives and console Cardinal fans after a loss.
He was also an avid explorer of new technology. He had a slick Facebook page and a Twitter account, but it was his use of Instagram that caught our attention.
As a result, we took the opportunity to feature him on our cover.
Besides being a Stanford fan, he also had a knack for finding the best deals on goods and services, so we asked him to name his top picks in our annual roundup of the best places to shop in the Bay Area.
His list included a few of the major department stores, but he also mentioned some of his favorite boutiques and shops, where he had made frequent trips to buy unique gifts for friends and family.
Dave also had a knack for finding the best prices on electronics, especially computers and TVs. He also had a passion for sports and cars, and was particularly proud of the fact that he was able to make a few million dollars in the stock market during his time at Morgan Stanley.
The most important part of all is that he was a great friend and brother, and we are so grateful to have had him as a part of our family for more than three decades.
