Dean Hopper is a member of America’s favorite family gospel music group, The Hoppers. Her powerful voice and high-pitched singing have delighted fans all over the world. The Hoppers have been singing and performing for decades. Their latest album, Believe, was released in 2022.
Connie and Claude Hopper have four children, including the group’s lead singer, Dean. The oldest of the siblings, she sings soprano and has won several awards for her vocal talents. She is also a songwriter. She has been in the family music business for years and is an active member of her church.
In addition to her musical talents, Connie Hopper has also been a part of the acting business. She has appeared in a number of films and television shows. After about a year or so of marriage they began traveling with Dean & the Family – The Hoppers. In the early 2000’s Dean & Kim had their second child, a daughter named Lexus Jazz Hopper. In 2003 Dean along with his mother graduated from Oakland City University.
In early December, the beloved group was rocked by a series of health problems. Claude Hopper, Dean’s father and the bass singer for The Hoppers, suffered a stroke. Then, Connie Hopper, who survived breast cancer 35 years ago, had a malignant mass removed and underwent radiation treatments. Thankfully, the illness did not cause any permanent damage. However, it has taken time and patience for the family to put the pieces of their life back together. The group is asking for prayers for a speedy recovery. The family appreciates the support of their loyal fans and friends.
