Dr. Karl Crossen Obituary: A Cardiology Pioneer and a Compassionate Healer
Dr. Karl Crossen, also known as Dr. C, was a 62-year-old cardiologist who passed away on September 3, 2023, at Jersey Shore Medical Center. He was born on July 4, 1961, in Tupelo, Mississippi, to John and Mary Crossen. He had two sisters: Karen and Kathy.
Dr. Crossen was a cardiology pioneer and a compassionate healer who touched the lives of many people. He had a genuine interest in and care for all the people he encountered. He was compassionate and kind to everyone he met. He could be found helping out individuals of all walks of life. With his loving smile and kind heart, he would always stop to help anyone and everyone in his path.
Dr. Crossen was affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis and Memphis Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was also a partner at Cardiology Associates of North Mississippi, where he worked since 1990. He was respected and admired by his colleagues and patients for his expertise, professionalism, and dedication.
Dr. Crossen loved life, his family, and his friends. He had a contagious smile and laugh that everyone enjoyed. He was passionate about his wife, Lisa, whom he married in 1985, and his two sons, Kyle and Kevin. He cherished his time spent with them. He was also an avid fan of dirt track racing and car design. He often attended races with his father and brother, who were both racers themselves.
Dr. Crossen died peacefully in his sleep on September 3, 2023. The exact cause of his death has not been revealed yet. He is survived by his wife, sons, parents, sisters, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many other relatives and friends.

I loved Dr. Crossen. He did my heart ablation in 2002. He did my pacemaker surgery in 2019. He put my Watchman in after that.
He is going to be missed by all of us.
