Hayden Ritchhart Obituary: Carrollton, MO Evan Vandiver and Hayden Ritchhart Involved in Osage Beach Plane Crash
On Thursday, July 13, 2023 emergency responders, including the Osage Beach Police Department, were called to Grand Glaize Airport following reports of a plane crash around 11:58 AM. A witness near the airport observed a plane taking off and then witnessed what appeared to be a crash. Multiple agencies quickly arrived at the scene and conducted an extensive search of the area. Eventually, the wreckage was found in a wooded area southeast of 1252 Highway KK.
What Happened to Hayden Ritchhart ?
Tragically, three individuals were found at the crash site by first responders. Two individuals, Evan R. Vandiver, 19, from Richmond, and Hayden M. Ritchhart, 22, from Carrollton, were pronounced deceased. Another individual, Gary Vandiver, 54, from Richmond, sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in Columbia for treatment.
It is believed that Hayden Ritchhart was the pilot at the time of the incident.
