Is Nina Leaving General Hospital 2023?

For the last few years, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has been causing drama in Port Charles. The character first woke up from a 20-year coma back in 2014. Since then, she’s been a bitter woman who seeks revenge on anyone who has wronged her. Sadly, this has made her a pretty hated person.

As a result, many fans are calling for her to leave the soap. Some have even taken to social media to express this desire. But is this really a good idea? Nina has brought a lot of drama to the show, but she’s also shown some real growth and change. If she was to leave, it would be a shame to see the storyline end.

If Nina were to leave, it could open up new opportunities for other characters in the future. For example, it’s possible that the storyline could focus on her son, Wiley Corinthos (Harry Kando), and his relationship with his mother. It’s also possible that the character could leave the biz altogether to live with Sonny and Carly (Maurice Benard and Laura Wright) in Nixon Falls. This could be a fun way to relaunch the storyline and give the fans something they have been craving for.

However, the biggest problem with this is that a lot of viewers are very attached to Nina. As such, they don’t want to see her leave. It’s likely that the writers will figure out a way to keep the character around. Thankfully, it’s not looking like the writers will have to go too far out of their way to do so.

Fans can always hope that the writers find a way to make Nina more likable again. This might be as simple as giving her some good storyline material and not making her so bitter and angry all the time. After all, we’ve seen Nina become a much more likable character when she was paired up with AJ.

The only other thing that may keep the character from leaving is if there’s some sort of love story between her and Sonny. Although, it seems unlikely that this will happen anytime soon. This is probably because Carly and Nina are involved in a nasty feud that is not going anywhere.

Unless the writers come up with some other storyline that brings the two together, it seems like Nina will be staying put on General Hospital for the time being. Hopefully, the writers will come up with some new ideas for this character because her current storyline is starting to get boring. It is a shame because it’s been so long since the soap has had a rivalry as good as the Rachel/Iris, Dorian/Vikki, and Katherine/Jill.
