Jersey June Poff died on September 3, 2023, at Dayton Children’s Hospital. She was involved in a car accident that occurred on August 31, 2023, on State Route 29 near New Knoxville Road. According to reports, she was riding in the back seat of her mother’s car when a truck ran a red light and hit them on the driver’s side. She suffered severe injuries and was airlifted to the hospital, where she fought for her life for three days.

Funeral service
A memorial ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 AM on September 8, 2023, at the Wayne Street Church in Saint Marys. Following the service, interment will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery.
