Mark Savage Obituary: Savage of Pembroke, Passed Away at 67

Mark Savage, a resident of Pembroke, passed away on November 12, 2022, at the age of 67. He was born to Barbara (Miielbye) and George Savage, both of whom preceded him in death.

Mark grew up in Hanover and graduated from Hanover High School. He later attended UMass Amherst. In 1984, Mark married the love of his life, Katherine (Renahan), and the couple initially lived in Quincy before settling in Pembroke in 1987. Together, they raised their daughter Shannon. Mark dedicated 28 years of his career as the General Manager at Best Chevrolet.

Aside from his professional endeavors, Mark had several hobbies and interests. He enjoyed skeet shooting and was an enthusiastic supporter of the New England Patriots and Boston sports teams. He took immense pride in maintaining his yard and home, and he cherished family trips to DisneyWorld. Above all, Mark treasured spending time with his family and his beloved dogs.

Who is Mark Savage?

Mark is survived by his loving wife Katherine Savage and his daughter Shannon Savage, along with Shannon’s partner Elizabeth Lincoln of New London, New Hampshire. He is also survived by his sister Mary Callahan and her husband Brian of Middleboro, as well as his sister-in-law Diane and her husband David Cummings. Mark was predeceased by his brother Peter Savage and Peter’s wife Nancy. Additionally, he is survived by his mother and father-in-law, Richard and Bess Renahan, and several nieces and nephews. His beloved dog Sophie was also a cherished member of the family.

Mark Savage Obituary: Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, November 17th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sullivan Funeral Homes in Hanover, located at 551 Washington St., Rt. 53. A funeral home service will be held the following morning, on Friday, November 18th, at 10:00 AM. Mark will be laid to rest at Pembroke Center Cemetery.

Instead of sending flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the ASPCA of Massachusetts or The American Cancer Society in Mark’s memory.
