Shane Bivins Obituary

Shane Bivins of Midland passed away on May 31, 2020 at Piedmont Columbus Midtown. He was born on May 25, 1970 in Ft Wayne, Indiana. He was a very skilled marksman and was a huge outdoors fan who loved hunting and fishing. He was a very loving and caring person who was always helping others. He enjoyed spending time with his family and making them laugh with his wry sense of humor. His main goal in life was to start a family.

He will be missed by all that knew and loved him. He leaves behind two daughters Kristen Bivins and her husband Bryce Duke of Shiloh and Amber Kaitlyn Bivins of Oxford; one grandchild Axell Grey Duke; his mother Jan Biivns of Americus; his brother Ty (Ericka) Bivins of Killen, AL; his maternal grandmother Jeanne Cardone of Sellerburg, IN; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins who were more like brothers and sisters, and friends. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka is entrusted with the arrangements.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Monday April 28th in the Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Dave Winn and Curtis Rutledge officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to call at the funeral home from 5pm until 8pm on Sunday evening and from 10am until 1pm on Monday morning.

The family wishes to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time. They also want to extend a special thanks to the staff of the EMS, Wilbarger County Sheriff’s Office and the Wilbarger County Hospital.
