Stanley Wilson, a 14-year-old resident of Encinitas, California, tragically death his life in a drowning accident while paddleboarding at Crosslake, Minnesota. The incident occurred on August 9th, 2023, at around 8:14 p.m. The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office received an emergency call from Pine Terrace Resort along Pine Terrace Road, reporting the disappearance of the young boy.

What Happened to Stanley Wilson?

The sequence of events leading to the incident unfolded as Stanley was paddleboarding on Star Lake. Unfortunately, he lost his balance and fell into the water. Despite immediate efforts, he did not resurface. Local authorities promptly responded to the distress call, with various agencies, including the Crosslake Police Department, Pequot Lakes Police Department, Breezy Point Police Department, Ideal Fire/First Responders, Crosslake Fire, and North Ambulance/Air Care, collaborating in the rescue operation.
