The Cleveland, Ohio community mourns the tragic loss of Sydney Folan, a vibrant and adventurous young girl who was taken from us too soon in a fatal motorcycle accident on Freeway. Sydney’s zest for life and kind spirit touched the hearts of all who knew her. As we come together to grieve her untimely passing, let us celebrate her remarkable life and support her family during this difficult time.
Sydney Folan was an amazing young girl known for her adventurous nature and vivacious personality. Her presence lit up the lives of those around her, and her loss leaves a profound void in the hearts of her loved ones. Sydney’s passion for life was evident in everything she did, and her memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
What Happened to Sydney Folan?
The devastating motorcycle accident claimed Sydney’s life despite her responsible use of a helmet. As a testament to her caring nature, Sydney was an organ donor, leaving a lasting legacy by giving the gift of life to others in need. Her selflessness in the face of tragedy exemplifies her loving and compassionate character.
Sydney’s parents, Jennifer Folan and Brian Ogrosky, along with her many siblings and friends, are left heartbroken by her passing. Her mother’s business, the Flying Rib, also faced a devastating fire, adding to the family’s challenges during this difficult time. The community has rallied to support them, with a candlelight vigil planned in Madison Park in Lakewood on July 29, 2023, to remember and honor Sydney’s life.
In the face of such overwhelming grief, a Gofundme page has been set up on Sydney’s behalf by Marrissa Folan. The funds raised will go towards giving Sydney the farewell she deserves and assisting her family during this period of mourning. In addition to honoring Sydney’s memory, any remaining funds will be donated to the APL, a cause she deeply cared about due to her love for animals.
This is something I never thought I would write. My baby sister was the passenger for a fatal motorcycle accident last night. She was wearing a helmet and was ejected off the bike on i90. Sydney is an organ donor services will be held this week with Chambers funeral home.
Sydney is the daughter of Jennifer Folan and Brian Ogrosky. Sydney has many siblings and family mourning her loss. As well as her two precious pups and bearded dragon.
Any donations are appreciated. My mother is off work due to surgery as well as her place of work catching on fire. All money donated will be for the services and with what is left over will be donated to the Cleveland Animal Protective League as Syd adored animals.
Thank you to all who have reached out to us.
Sydney was the most beautiful free spirit with a wild heart. She will be forever missed.
This is the official go fund me for the family. And services will be posted Monday afternoon.
We love you, Syd
