The death of Taylor Guerra has sparked an investigation into the case by police, and it is believed that she was the victim of a domestic assault. The crime is still under investigation, but a criminal complaint filed against demetrius glover of Joliet, the suspect in the case, alleges that he beat the woman into an unconscious state at her home on Kelly Avenue. The girl was taken to a local hospital where she later died from her injuries.
Taylor Guerra grew up in a large family and was very close to her sisters and brothers. He was a caring person who loved to make others happy and would go out of her way to help anyone in need. He was a great friend and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
He is survived by her children; Rebecca Anne Stroh of Littleton, CO, Michelle Lynn Arriaga of Canyon and Taylor Brooke Guerra of Amarillo; grandchildren; Michael John Stroh, Samantha Garza, Christopher Ryan Guerra, and Isaiah James Arriaga; siblings; Ed Mattocks of Lake Villa, IL, Lois Smith of Tulsa, OK, and Lloyd Mattocks of Meta, MO; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was an accomplished psychologist who founded and managed Associated Therapists, Inc in Huntington Beach, California. He received a B.A. from Tulane University and an M.A. from the University of Tennessee before receiving his Ph.D from the University of Nebraska in 1970. He specialized in family therapy, attention deficit disorder and depression. He had an outstanding reputation within the psychiatric community and will be greatly missed.
Javier was a great Son, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Friend to all who knew him. He was an inspiration to those he touched in his lifetime. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
